(insert welcome here, I'm out of ideas...)

5th August 2008

Was doing my NYAA report on Physical Aspect until 12+am in the morning. Took a short nap then my dad came out around 1:15am from his sleep and chase me to the room because I'm lacking sleep and he's worried for me. (Omigod! How come everybody can manage time so well one? Got tips or not? How you all finish tutorials etc on time one? *dazed*) I feel bad because I'm affecting his work, he says sometimes from lack of rest he feels dizzy because now busy season (Hungry Ghost Festival soon...)

Woke up at 5.35am and I immediately know I was in deep shit. Never pack my bags or do H.W. because I too tired and practically slept through the night, after my dad came out, without preparing for tomorrow. So I 'chiong' everything as fast as I could and left the house. Reached school on time but late for Family run again. 2 consecutive times already... I hate myself.

Nothing much interesting after that bah.. Until SD period over...

Haha! She looks different from J.A.E. then. Last time saw her only a few times. Still remember then her CCA held BBQ at MPH once last time, but didn't talk though. Lol... we were playing frisbee then (slacking after training) Anyway, today was like the first official chat after Orientation. She was waiting for her very slow friend (dunno-who) to go down to Math Lecture do CA. (I practically dieded for that, only get 5marks confirmed from the whole Differenciation CA.) Chatted a bit here and there, then say bye-bye when I reach 4th floor. (need to go back class prepare for Math mar...)

Lol. Dunno when we'll see each other again next time. I very sad leh... Don't really get to talk much with my J.A.E. friends because all got different time-table one. But will still say HI! when we get to see each other. XD

After school, when going to leave that time suddenly Charmaine and I talk abt June Expedition. (Predicted response frm Kenneth: *stiffened, sit straight and stare hard at the upcoming sentences*) We talked about the weaknesses we have frm June XP (like how Jia Jian started the shooting in ODAC during post-XP because of my June XP backpacking (when I was away playing Floorball for my class...) I don't blame him though.

Then like how sometimes we fall from descending Gunung Batu Puteh, thinking of improving footwork (by going Macritchie train?),

like how magnificant the view of the sun setting on G. Batu Puteh when we're reaching the summit (picture an orange sun revealed about 9/10th and 1/10th frm clouds, all totally surrounded by clear blue sky),

how bad some ODAC-ers got stung by wasps at one part near the summit of Batu Puteh, how we managed to survive the close shaves frm wasps (Was told to cover yourself with extra clothing and poncho to travel some 10m then? I didn't know the wasps' nest was less than 2m away frm me then, thinking then it was like 6m ahead. So when the guide told me to start moving slowly towards him, I felt something landed on my right ring finger. Thinking it was some leech then, I brought it to my hand and when I saw a wasp crawling there I did something stupid... I FLUNG the wasp away *surprised mah*... Attracted some 3 to 4 more wasps to fly around me. Stoned like never before then. (New Experience) Seconds felt like hours then... (haven't got stung before my bees, wasps or hornets in my life I think.. cant remember... so I a bit fearful) After a while they left so I continued all the way to guide, then took off the clothing, chuck it in my backpack then continue moving...)

what injuries we suffered from XP (got cut marks near both knees, caused by friction on a muddy rock on different occasions, 1 when ascending an almost vertical obstacle at Batu Kak, detour towards Batu Puteh. The other was near some high altitude stinky and muddy area. Didn't treat those injuries during XP then, just wiped it off as clean with my CLIMBING GLOVES and pressed on... -_-"),

and the terrain near summit of G. Batu Puteh (muddy until when you walk, sometimes your shoe gets totally buried in squealching mud and you have to occasionally put back your feet in a 'sunkened' trekking shoe. XD)

Not sure if I got talk abt anything else, but this is more or less what I can still remember.

Anyway, if you'd ever climb a mountain before, you'd probably have a new understanding when you read books about mountaineering experiences. Go check out this book called 'Into Thin Air' in any S'pore library, it's about 1996 Everest disaster. Wikepedia it if you also want. You'd really kinda understand the feelings they faced on Everest.

Then after sch, I went to Toa Payoh and walked around Popular for about 2+ hrs, thinking of a gift for Charmaine's B-Day tomorrow. Ended up buying a notebook with stickman illustration and the caption "Live to Learn and Learn to Live", Post-Its and a Cadbury 'Old Gold' Dark Chocolate Bar (the very BIG size one). Hope she likes it cause got ODAC meaning XD. Sian, very last minute then buy...

Feel a bit sad because I realised today I missed many of my classmates B-Day. Found out only when I copy my friend's sch diary with the dates on it. Must do more nxt year to pay back for mistakes.

Managed to finish NYAA Physical up-t-date at night. Dunno whether I can make it for Econ Mkt Structure test and Knowledge Lvl 2... Many ppl passed alr leh, I still so slow. =(

WAHHHH!!! TODAY VERY HAAAAPPPYYY!!!

I REACHED SCHOOL BEFORE 6.30AM LEHZ!!! FIRST TIME IN MY WHOLE LIFE I REACH THE COLLEGE SUPER EARLY LAH!

Feels weird though... Only saw 1 cleaner present when I enter the school. So lonely and deserted... Anyway, I thought I was the first person in my batch to reach CJC because it was like only 6:15 - 6:20am

I was wrong. Sarah (Day Leader) was the only 1 present at Grandstand. (She's so responsible for her duty as day-leader.) So that makes me the 2nd person to come so early. Still happy with my achievement though. XD Need to repeat this for every training, to come at least at 6:30am or earlier (because I now in trainee-competition-team with most of the other guys.)

Prepared for morning run mentally and physically already but then couldnt run in the end because 1 person absent and another late. Disappointed...

Ran later in the evening. Around 6pm, had to do batch run (lvl -2 18rounds below 30min). Some competition ppl did 1:30 for targeted 18 laps? while 6 - 8 girls did their 2min-per-lap batch run. Only 3 people did 1:40 one lah! Omigod... The 3 are Justin, Mathias (recovering frm recent strain) and myself. Less than 1/2 the batch was running because all INJURED! Liddat I dunno how to solve already...

First lap a bit screwed. Hit 1min 33sec. Because 1st lap pacing very important, so I think it affected our run around the ending. Justin paced us for at least 8 rounds, an improvement compared to the past. d(^-^)b Still cheered him on afterwards...

Overall run was good though, average timing per lap was around 1:40 (give or take 3 seconds)

Mathias got affected by stitch during last few rounds (see lah! ur fault... =P) and got ppl like Marcus, Edmund, Chong Kai and a few others pace us during last 2 laps. Both of us managed to clock a timing of 29mins 58sec 82minisec together. Dunno whether Mr Lim considers this as Mission FAIL annot because he want the batch (but only 2 currently present running this category) to hit below 30 mins with these instructions "Team, pacing, individual..." Anyway, me legs now feel a bit weird after training. Hope it's not injury or all my efforts go to waste.
*Bleah! Dun want that to happen...*
